The Green Apple Music & Arts Festival is the world's largest celebration of Earth Day. In 2007, music events took place in New York, Chicago and San Francisco with over 200 concerts at over 60 venues and large scale free events in Central Park, outside Grand Central Terminal in New York, the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Over 200,000 people attended and the entire event was made carbon neutral. Green Apple expects to grow each year as more cities participate, bringing the country's top artists together with environmentally concerned citizens. |
